As usual, when we have to get the professionals of the water resources management, some news or development of our company and MARRONE BIO INNOVATION, related to the control of plague of invading aquatic bivalves, we provoke a technical meeting where it is exposed directly and rigorously the message. Then, in the debate, impressions are changed and doubts dissipated. This is our norm and so we will continue. On December 19, we communicated to the various attendees the latest news about the regulatory process of Zequanox in Europe and the RSPC-IEB and ZEQUABIV programs. Presentation of the RSPC-IEB program
Consequence of the ECOWATER INNOVA program between our company and MARRONE BIO INNOVATION, together with other national institutes (IH CANTABRIA), as well as foreigners (ISTMA and IP / APTA) Brazil, the RSPC-IEB project was born. The detection process of the RSPC-IEB I Detect a colony of invading bivalves, in shallow waters or littoral masses, even though it is an arduous and dedicated task, we could consider it an activity of medium complexity. But when it comes to locating settlements in depths greater than 10 meters (up to 45 meters), things get complicated. Precisely in the bottoms of these aquatic spaces (reservoirs, dams, lakes), is where the colonies settle and where the reproductive processes and therefore the spread and expansion of the pest, without practically any element of restriction or control. The technology applied to RSPC-IEB, allows us not only to detect bivalve colonies at depths greater than 10 meters, but we can also control the physical and chemical conditions of the water body at all times, detecting, in this way, possible contamination by uncontrolled spills or other incidence that significantly alters the original conditions of the raw water body. The implementation process of the RSPC-IEB II What can we do when a bivalve colony has been detected by the RSPC-IEB I? What are we going to do to carry out the task of control and implementation of the product at a similar depth? How are we going to confine the volume of water to be treated to a depth greater than 10 meters? The RSPC-IEB II team is a display of imagination, combined with a state-of-the-art technology that allows the product to be implemented on the colony without having to invade other adjoining or non-objective spaces on vertical surfaces (cantiles and littorals) ), as horizontals (funds). Waste management We have learned 11 years of fieldwork and research. The result is not only to know everything that has to do with bivalves and their behavior, but also to apply control methods and technical processes capable of effectively controlling the expansion and colonization of new water systems. We have learned to take advantage of waste and its organic components as supplements to fertilizers and fertilizers. But what is more interesting, is that these residues are obtained through mechanical actions of very low cost through the RSPC-IEB III. Therefore we have made an effort to close the circle. We have created a technological equipment that completes the circular economy cycle.
